Nolosé is proud to present its latest album ‘White Night Mambo’ recorded alongside two internationally acclaimed musicians: vibraphonist Christos Rafalides and piano player Hector Martignon. White Night Mambo is the fruit of a long collaboration between Nolosé and those two musicians. Introducing compositions from Christos Rafalides and latin standards specially arranged for Nolosé by Hector Martignon, White Night Mambo is a colorful mix between jazz, Cuban salsa and Mediterranean melodies.
Hector Martignon, originally from Columbia, is probably one of the most sought-after Latin-jazz pianist in New-York today. Nominated 5 times for a Grammy, including for his latest two CDs, “Refugee” and “Second Chance”, Hector has collaborated with greats such as Paquito D’Rivera, Ray Barretto, Paul Simon, the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra and many others.
Christos Rafalides, originally from Greece, belongs to the lead figures of New-York jazz where he performs a music mixing jazz, Latin, Greek and Middle-Eastern influences. Founder and leader of the group Manhattan Vibes, he plays and records with internationally acclaimed musicians such as Ravi Coltrane, Antonio Sanchez, Ron Affif, Randy Brecker as well as Greek stars Dimitra Galanis or Mimis Plessas.
